The reality
The Addiction Isn't Just Controlling Your Loved One. It's Controlling Your Whole Family.
The sleepless nights. The money disappearing. The way everyone tiptoes around the problem while it keeps getting worse. You can feel the family drifting apart and you don't know how to stop it.
Every decision you make, every conversation you avoid, every boundary you don't hold. The addiction is calling those shots. And it will keep calling them until something fundamentally changes.
You didn't cause this. But without a real plan — not an emotional confrontation, not another ultimatum — the situation will keep escalating. That's not a prediction. That's what I've watched happen, over and over, in more than two decades of doing this work. It's also what I know how to stop.
- Constant fear, tension, and walking on eggshells
- Enabling behaviors that feel like love but aren't helping
- No plan — just hope, dread, and emotional exhaustion
About Mike
I've Spent Over Two Decades Helping Families Do What Feels Impossible.
I'm Mike DiPalma. For more than 23 years, I've been in rooms full of fear, anger, and heartbreak. I've watched families who were convinced there was no hope find it anyway.
My background is a little different than most. I started as a former law enforcement officer, which gave me a street-level understanding of how people in crisis think and respond. From there I moved into the rehab industry, where I've personally guided hundreds of individuals into treatment.
I'm a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), but what matters most isn't the credential. It's the experience. I've seen every objection, every manipulation tactic, every worst-case scenario. I know exactly how to navigate them.
This isn't a job for me. It's a mission. When you call me, you're not getting a call center. You're getting someone who will feel the weight of your situation and know exactly what to do about it.
The dual transformation
Most Families Call Me for One Reason. They Leave with Two.
Most people reach out hoping to get their loved one into treatment. What they don't expect is what else they get.
01
For Your Loved One
A professionally guided, carefully planned two-day intervention gives your loved one the best possible chance of saying yes — and meaning it. Not through pressure or ambush, but through a structured process designed around what actually works.
02
For Your Family
The chaos, the enabling, the constant fear — we dismantle all of it. By the time we're done, your family isn't just surviving the addiction. You're standing together again, with clear boundaries, a shared plan, and a household no longer ruled by someone else's disease.
The vast majority of the people I work with go into treatment on Day One. For the few who don't, it's a matter of time — once the environment changes, the addiction has nowhere left to hide. Either way, the family that walks out of this process is fundamentally different. Stronger. Clearer. Back in control.
The process
Two Days That Change Everything.
This isn't a surprise confrontation. It's a carefully rehearsed, professionally guided plan.
Family Preparation & Education
We meet with the family — without the addicted individual present. I walk everyone through what's actually happening, why the current approach isn't working, and what we're going to do instead. We establish new household rules, work through the family dynamics, and rehearse the intervention itself until everyone is grounded and ready.
By the end of Day One, the family has already transformed. The enabling stops. The plan is in place. Everyone knows their role.
The Intervention
This is the day we bring in your loved one. With the family prepared and the plan rehearsed, I guide the conversation with calm, experience, and the kind of directness that addiction responds to. Every scenario has been anticipated. Every response has been prepared for.
The goal is treatment. But the transformation has already begun — for the whole family.

I didn't think an intervention would work for us. Our situation felt too far gone. I was wrong. Mike knew exactly what to say, and more importantly, he helped us know what to say to each other.

Even before my husband agreed to go, I felt the weight lift. The family we were before the addiction. Mike helped us find that again.
